Role Description The Article Assistant will support the firm’s audit, assurance, taxation, and accounting engagements on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities include assisting in statutory, internal, and concurrent audits, preparing working papers, performing ledger scrutiny, and helping with financial statement preparation. The role also involves supporting direct and indirect tax compliance and filings, basic research on tax and regulatory matters, and documentation for tax assessments and litigations.

Assistant will work closely with seniors and partners to learn professional standards, maintain proper records, and ensure timely completion of assignments. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhopal.

Qualifications

- Registered as an Article Assistant/Articled Trainee under ICAI or eligible to commence articleship.
- Strong academic background in commerce, accounting, or related discipline (B.Com or equivalent preferred).
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles, auditing concepts, and direct and indirect tax fundamentals.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and basic accounting/tax software; willingness to learn new tools.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a structured environment, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Professional attitude, integrity, and willingness to take responsibility and learn from feedback.
- Comfort with in office client visits within Bhopal and, when required, nearby locations.
