Role Description The Anchor role at Chandigarh University is a full-time, on-site position based in Mohpa. The Anchor will present and host university events, interviews, panel discussions, and media segments for internal and external audiences. Daily responsibilities include preparing scripts and talking points, conducting background research on topics and guests, and coordinating with production and communications teams to ensure smooth event and recording flow.

The Anchor will engage live and recorded audiences, maintain professional on-camera and on-stage presence,



and support promotional and informational content that aligns with the university’s brand and communication goals.

Qualifications

- Strong verbal communication, public speaking, and presentation skills suitable for live and recorded formats.
- Ability to prepare and deliver explicit, engaging scripts; basic content writing or scriptwriting skills are an advantage.
- Comfort with on-camera work, stage presence, and audience engagement in educational or media settings.
- Basic understanding of media production processes, including coordination with audio-visual and technical teams.
- Excellent command of English; proficiency in additional regional languages is an asset.
- Organizational skills to manage schedules, rehearsals, and multiple events or recordings.
- Previous experience in anchoring, hosting, journalism, or broadcast/media is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Media Studies, Performing Arts, or a related field is desirable.
- Ability to work on-site in Moapa and collaborate effectively with diverse faculty, staff, and students.
