Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant – US Accounts with 1–4 years of experience in US accounting practices. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of US GAAP, US accounting principles, SAP, account finalisation, and Accounts Payable processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day accounting activities in accordance with US GAAP and accounting standards.
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) operations, including invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, payment processing, and query resolution.
- Perform general ledger (GL) accounting and ensure accurate recording of financial transactions.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities and account finalisations.
- Prepare and review account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and prepaid expenses.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of financial records and supporting documentation.




- Work on SAP for accounting transactions, financial reporting, and reconciliations.
- Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Identify discrepancies, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and reporting deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance (B.Com / M.Com / equivalent).
- 1–4 years of experience in US Accounting or US Finance & Accounting processes.
- Good understanding of US GAAP and US accounting practices.
- Practical knowledge of SAP and accounting systems.
- Hands-on experience in Accounts Payable, Bank Reconciliations and vendor reconciliations.
- Understanding of month-end closing and account finalisation processes.
- Knowledge of General Ledger, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Positive analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Candidates with prior experience in a KPO/BPO or accounting outsourcing environment will be preferred.
- Exposure to US clients and international accounting processes will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.
