Summary

This role supports the ETS finance team's month-end close by preparing accrual, prepayment, suspense and reconciliation schedules and keeping trackers current across all markets. It also acts as the first point of contact for incoming shopdraw and business queries. Taking on this routine work frees the team to focus on process standardisation and automation.

You will work closely with the ETS Finance Controller, Finance Managers, Regional Finance Teams, the supplier payments team and payroll Day in the life:

- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments and adjustments in the general ledger
- Perform account reconciliations and investigate and resolve variances
- Support the monthly, quarterly and year-end close, meeting reporting deadlines
- Prepare a list of long-outstanding accruals across all markets, confirm them with stakeholders, and check invoice status with the supplier payments team
- Maintain prepayments tracker with details and status of expiring ones
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and company policies
- Review suspense accounts and clearing them off
- Maintain trackers, including the manual invoicing tracker and the rec SD tracker




- Maintain and expand process documentation and knowledge-base notes to support continuity
- Work with business partners, procurement, operations and other teams to resolve finance queries
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate finance processes

You'll be perfect for the role if you have: Essential

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Master's degree in Commerce (M.Com)
- 3+ years of experience in a finance, accounting or financial analyst role
- Good working knowledge of general ledger accounting, including journals, accruals, reconciliations and period-end close
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non-finance audiences

Desirable
- Experience with Basware and advanced Excel
- Exposure to reporting tools such as Power BI
- Experience with SUN (added advantage)

Business Skills:
- Clear written and verbal communication, as most stakeholders are Australia-based
- High attention to detail and follow-through on trackers and deadlines
- Positive working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
- Ability to spot repetitive manual work and suggest ways to standardise or automate it
