Role Description The Academic Counsellor will provide personalized guidance to students and job seekers, helping them understand their strengths, interests, and career options through one-on-one counseling sessions, assessments, and feedback discussions. In this full-time on-site role based in Ahmedabad, the Academic Counsellor will conduct orientation sessions, workshops, and seminars on career planning, skill development, and employability. The role involves interpreting assessment results, recommending suitable courses or training programs, and supporting learners in building effective resumes and interview skills.

The Academic

Counsellor will collaborate with mentors, trainers, and placement teams to track student progress, maintain accurate records,



and ensure timely communication with learners and partner institutions. The role also includes responding to queries, managing counseling schedules, and contributing to continuous improvement of guidance processes and student experience.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong student counseling and career guidance skills, including the ability to conduct one-on-one sessions, interpret assessment results, and recommend appropriate academic and career pathways.
- Candidates should possess solid communication and interpersonal skills, including clear spoken and written communication, active listening, empathy, and the ability to build trust with diverse learners and stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess organizational and coordination skills, such as maintaining accurate records, managing schedules, handling multiple cases, and collaborating effectively with mentors, trainers, and placement teams.
- Candidates should possess basic technology and documentation skills, including comfort with online platforms, learning management systems, spreadsheets, and report writing for tracking student progress and outcomes.
- A bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Career Counseling, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications in counseling or career guidance are an advantage.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, career services, training, or student support within an educational or ed-tech workplace is highly beneficial.
- Awareness of current job market trends, employability skills, and industry requirements, along with a genuine interest in supporting learners
