Accounts Assistant – Sales Ledger & Credit Control

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Assistant to join the finance team of one of the UK's leading time-critical logistics companies.
This is an excellent long-term career opportunity for someone with strong Accounts Assistant skills, a high level of Xero proficiency, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Senior Accountant, supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the business and helping to ensure that supplier invoices and financial records are processed accurately and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and issuing sales invoices accurately and on time.
Reconciling bank transactions and accounts using Xero.
Chasing overdue customer payments and confirming payment dates.
Making supplier payments and preparing payment runs.
Allocating customer receipts and reconciling remittances.
Investigating and resolving invoice discrepancies and payment queries.
Issuing amended invoices and credit notes where necessary.
Preparing customer statements and monitoring outstanding balances.
Liaising with customers and suppliers to resolve account queries.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Experience using Xero.
Sales invoicing Bank and account reconciliation.
Credit control and chasing outstanding payments.
Desirable Experience:
Previous experience working within a UK-based transport, haulage or logistics company is preferred but not essential.
Familiarity with UK supplier invoicing processes and financial administration.
Experience working in a high-volume finance workplace.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
