Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a GCP Data Engineer. The GCP Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring reliable data ingestion, transformation, and storage. Typical tasks include implementing ETL processes, modeling data for analytics and reporting, and optimizing data workflows and performance. The role involves collaborating with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements, ensure data quality, and support decision-making. The engineer will also monitor data infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to best practices and documentation. Qualifications




• Strong Data Engineering skills, including building and managing data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with Data Modeling and designing scalable schemas to support analytics and reporting.
• Proficiency in Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools for reliable data ingestion and transformation.
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and technologies for structured data storage and retrieval.
• Ability to perform Data Analytics to validate data, generate insights, and support business decisions.
• Hands-on experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, or similar tools.
• Strong skills in SQL and at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, Java, or Scala).
• Understanding of data governance, security, and privacy best practices in cloud environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, communicate clearly with cross-functional teams, and manage part-time workloads effectively.
