Role Description This is a remote, contract role for a Rust Developer. The Rust Developer will design, implement, test, and maintain backend services and system-level components using Rust, working closely with product and engineering teams. Daily tasks include writing clean, productive, and well-documented code, reviewing peer code, and optimizing performance and reliability. The role involves integrating APIs, collaborating on architectural decisions,



and participating in debugging, troubleshooting, and incident resolution. The Rust Developer will also contribute to build and deployment pipelines, follow secure coding practices, and support continuous improvement of development processes. Qualifications
• Strong proficiency in Rust programming, including ownership, borrowing, and concurrency concepts.

Experience:
8–10 years, including 3+ years in a senior/lead role
• Core languages: Rust, or C/C++/Go, plus TypeScript/JavaScript
• Backend: Node.js, Next.js, PostgreSQL
• Security: Endpoint security, encryption, TLS/mTLS, threat modelling
• Systems: macOS, Windows, Linux, OS internals, concurrency
• Browser extensions: Chrome Manifest V3, service workers
• AI/ML: On-device ML, NER, ONNX (bonus)
• DevOps & testing: CI/CD, Docker, automated testing, release engineering
• Leadership: System architecture, end-to-end ownership, mentoring
