Key Responsibilities
Study customer RFQs, technical specifications, BOQs, and electrical drawings.
Prepare cost estimates for copper and aluminium busbars, including raw materials, fabrication, plating, insulation, and assembly.
Calculate material quantities, weights, cutting lengths, and material utilization.
Estimate manufacturing costs, including labor, machine hours, tooling, and overheads.
Prepare quotations, cost sheets, and commercial proposals.
Coordinate with production, design, purchase, and sales teams for technical and commercial clarification.
Obtain and compare supplier quotations for copper, aluminium, insulation materials, and other components.
Evaluate alternative materials and manufacturing methods to optimize costs.
Maintain records of quotations, costing data, and historical project costs.
Follow up on customer enquiries and support order negotiations.
