Mechanical Designer

Scope
Provide mechanical design support for custom industrial machinery, including recent machine development, customer orders, and engineering changes.
Manage end-to-end mechanical engineering projects for industrial machinery and automation equipment.
Manage project scope, schedule, engineering hours, cost, resources, risks, and quality.
Lead machine concept development and technical feasibility studies.
Review and approval:
3D models and assemblies
Manufacturing drawings
GD&T; and tolerance stack-ups

Responsibilities
Create/revise 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings
Design assemblies, weldments, sheet metal, and machined components
Develop and maintain BOMs
Support standardization and legacy design updates
Implement engineering changes
Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Purchasing

Qualifications
5+ years designing industrial capital equipment
SolidWorks proficiency
Manufacturing drawings and GD&T;
BOM and PDM/PLM experience
Self-directed in an ETO workplace

Preferred Experience
Plastics extrusion or converting equipment
Web, wire and cable conveyance handling
Design for manufacturing and assembly
