Manager - Reinsurance & Coinsurance - 2+ Years – Mumbai

Are you an experienced Reinsurance & Coinsurance professional with robust expertise in facultative reinsurance, coinsurance accounting, settlements, reconciliations and recoveries? We are looking for a skilled professional to manage reinsurance and coinsurance operations, ensure accurate financial reporting and strengthen accounting controls.

Location – Mumbai

Responsibilities

- Manage operational, accounting, settlement and reconciliation activities for Facultative Reinsurance (Inward & Outward) and Coinsurance (Inward & Outward).

- Prepare monthly Facultative Reinsurance statements and reconcile balances with books of accounts and Trial Balance.

- Prepare and circulate debit notes, GST invoices and monthly coinsurance statements, ensuring timely settlements and recoveries.

- Monitor outstanding balances, ageing reports and recovery follow-ups, ensuring accurate accounting and timely resolution of discrepancies.

- Coordinate with Underwriting, Operations and Claims teams for timely booking and rectification of reinsurance and coinsurance balances.

- Prepare management reports, regulatory reports and MIS deliverables within stipulated timelines.

- Ensure compliance with accounting processes, financial controls and audit requirements.

Requirements

- 2–5 years of experience in Reinsurance or Coinsurance operations within the General Insurance industry.

- Good understanding of Facultative Reinsurance (Inward & Outward) and Coinsurance (Inward & Outward).

- Hands-on experience in accounting, reconciliations, settlements, recoveries and outstanding balance monitoring.

- Knowledge of debit notes, GST invoicing, Trial Balance reconciliation and ageing analysis.

- Experience in preparing MIS, management reports and regulatory reports.





- Good communication, stakeholder management and coordination skills.

- Ability to work independently, manage deliverables and coordinate audit activities.

- Graduate/Postgraduate qualification with relevant knowledge of Reinsurance/Coinsurance.
