Senior Software Engineer
Ethoca, a Mastercard company, is a global collaboration-based technology services provider that connects card issuers and merchants to combat fraud, enhance customer experience, and prevent disputes.
To support our continued growth and success, we are seeking a talented Senior Software Engineer to join the Ethoca team. In this role you will be part of a highly agile team building exciting and innovative products delivered at scale to global markets.
The Senior Software engineer will work within a cross-functional development team to estimate and own delivery tasks (design, dev, test, deployment,
configuration, documentation) to meet the business requirements and enhance Ethoca's product suite. The ideal candidate should be proficient in entire SDLC including automation and product analysis. Estimate and own delivery tasks (dev, test, deployment,

configuration, documentation) to meet the business requirements.
~ Report status and manage risks within their primary application/service.
Drive integration of services focusing on customer journey and experience
Understands operational and engineering experience and actively works to




improve experience and metrics in the ownership area.

- review coding, test, and automation work of team members
- Mentor and guide new and less-experienced team members.

Review test architecture, automation code, and quality solutions.
Drive shift-left quality practices.
Participate in design reviews and provide quality-focused recommendations during architecture discussions.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline.
7+ years of experience in Software Engineering with exposure to entire SDLC.
Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript.
Experience building automation frameworks from the ground up.
Strong experience with:
Cloud-native applications
Experience with CI/CD platforms such as GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or equivalent.
Experience with automation tools such as:
Selenium
Cypress
Good understanding of Data build tool (DBT) testing to ensure data quality, reliability, and accuracy across data engineering pipelines.
Strong experience with SQL and data analysis and validation.
Robust understanding of Agile and DevOps practices.
