Experience: 2–3 years Location: Pune
Job Summary:
We are seeking a hands-on Embedded C / Wireless Firmware Developer with 2 to 3 years of experience who bridges the gap between hardware and software. In this role, you will be responsible for bringing up microcontrollers, writing clean, low-level Embedded C code, and developing wireless communication pipelines. The ideal candidate has direct experience with STM32 and ESP32 architectures and understands how to read schematics to debug code directly on physical hardware.
Key Responsibilities:
- Firmware Development: Design and write production-grade firmware in Embedded C for resource-constrained microcontrollers.
- Wireless Integration: Implement, configure, and optimize Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) stacks, profiles, and services for data transmission and peripheral control.
- Hardware Bring-Up & Diagnostics: Read hardware schematics to validate pins, bring up new prototypes, and troubleshoot physical boards.
- Platform Specialization: Develop firmware using STM32 (HAL/LL or bare-metal) and ESP32 (ESP-IDF) ecosystems.
- Peripheral Interfacing: Write and configure drivers for low-level protocols including SPI, I2C, UART, and GPIOs.
- Lab Debugging: Use test equipment such as logic analyzers, oscilloscopes,
and JTAG/SWD debuggers to isolate firmware bugs from hardware faults.
Required Technical Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication (ECE), Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 2 to 3 years of skilled experience in embedded systems development.
- Language Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Embedded C (memory management, pointers, registers, and interrupt handling).
- Hardware Architectures: Direct, hands-on experience with STM32 (ARM Cortex-M) and ESP32 (Xtensa/RISC-V) microcontrollers.
- Wireless Protocols: Practical exposure to BLE concepts (GAP, GATT, Advertising, Services, and Characteristics).
- Hardware Literacy: Ability to interpret electronic circuit schematics and datasheets.
- Development Tools: Familiarity with Git, STM32CubeIDE, VS Code (PlatformIO / ESP-IDF extension), and GCC toolchains.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with low-power optimization techniques for battery-operated BLE devices.
- To finalize this draft, let me know:
- What product or application are they building? (e.g., smart wearables, industrial sensors, medical devices)
