Job Summary

We are looking for a passionate, dedicated, and qualified English Teacher to join our school. The ideal candidate should have strong English communication skills, excellent subject knowledge, and the ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment. The teacher will be responsible for developing students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while encouraging creativity, critical thinking, and a love for the English language.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons according to the prescribed curriculum and academic standards.
- Teach English grammar, vocabulary, literature, reading comprehension, creative writing, and spoken English.
- Develop students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening abilities.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, projects, and teaching materials.
- Use interactive teaching methods and technology to make classroom learning effective.
- Assess and evaluate students' academic performance through tests, assignments, and classroom activities.
- Provide individual attention and additional support to students who need academic improvement.
- Maintain classroom discipline and create a positive, inclusive learning environment.
- Encourage students to participate in debates, elocution, storytelling, essay writing, and other literary activities.
- Maintain students' academic records, attendance, and progress reports.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding students' academic performance and development.
- Participate in staff meetings,



parent-teacher meetings, school events, and training programmes.
- Contribute to curriculum development and other academic activities as required.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in English or a relevant subject.
- B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) is preferred or required as per school norms.
- Master's degree in English will be an added advantage.
- Relevant teaching certification as applicable to the board and level.

Required Skills and Competencies

- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong command of English grammar, vocabulary, and literature.
- Positive classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and effective manner.
- Proficiency in lesson planning and assessment techniques.
- Familiarity with digital teaching tools and smart classroom technology.
- Strong interpersonal, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Patience, creativity, adaptability, and a student-centric approach.

Experience

- Relevant teaching experience in a recognised school is preferred.
- Freshers with strong subject knowledge and teaching aptitude may also apply.
