1. Job Summary

Rahaman Aircon India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an HVAC Electrical & Refrigeration Technician with knowledge of electrical control panels, commercial chillers, refrigeration systems, VFDs, and HVAC components. The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, and commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems used in HVAC and refrigeration applications.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Electrical Control Panel Troubleshooting

- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical control panels used in commercial chiller and refrigeration systems.
- Identify faults in contactors, relays, fuses, MCBs, MCCBs, overload relays, and control wiring.
- Understand power circuits and control circuits and diagnose short circuits and electrical faults.
- Use electrical testing instruments safely to identify faults.

B. VFD Installation & Troubleshooting

- Understand the operation and application of Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
- Troubleshoot VFD overcurrent, overvoltage, and other fault conditions.
- Check motor parameters, acceleration settings, electrical connections, and mechanical loads.
- Understand VFD speed-control signals from PLCs, BMS, and other controllers.
- Support VFD applications in AHU fans, exhaust fans, and other HVAC equipment.

C. HVAC System Maintenance

- Troubleshoot and maintain AHUs, exhaust fans, motors, and associated HVAC equipment.
- Understand chilled-water systems and the operation of 2-way regulating valves and 3-way bypass valves.
- Assist with equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and preventive maintenance.

Refrigeration System Troubleshooting

- Understand the working principles of Thermostatic Expansion Valves (TXVs).
- Identify TXV-related problems, including sensing bulb installation issues and incorrect refrigerant flow.
- Understand the function of oil separators in commercial chiller and refrigeration systems.
- Identify oil circulation problems and their effects on condenser and evaporator performance.
- Monitor refrigeration operating parameters and assist with cooling performance troubleshooting.

E. Safety & Commissioning

- Follow electrical safety procedures, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and appropriate PPE requirements.
- Follow safe working practices while troubleshooting electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Identify hazards and report unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Complete commissioning and maintenance work without compromising safety.
- Coordinate with engineers and site personnel to resolve unexpected technical problems.

3. Required Technical Knowledge

- Electrical control panels and industrial electrical circuits.
- Power circuits and control circuits.
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and motor control.
- HVAC equipment, AHUs, exhaust fans, and chilled-water systems.
- Two-way and three-way regulating valves.
- Refrigeration cycles and TXV operation.
- Oil separators and compressor lubrication systems.




- Electrical fault diagnosis and refrigeration troubleshooting.
- Electrical safety procedures and commissioning practices.

4. Educational Qualifications

- ITI in Electrical, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or a related technical trade; or
- Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Engineering.

5. Experience

- Candidates with practical experience in HVAC, commercial chillers, electrical control panels, and refrigeration systems will be preferred.
- Freshers with relevant technical qualifications and valuable fundamental knowledge may also be considered.

6. Essential Skills

- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to understand electrical wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of electrical testing instruments.
- Basic understanding of refrigeration and HVAC operating parameters.
- Ability to work safely under time constraints.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

7. Working Requirements

- Full-time position.
- Willingness to travel to customer and project sites.
- Ability to support installation, commissioning, maintenance, and breakdown activities.
- Compliance with company safety procedures and work schedules.

8. Selection Criteria

Candidates will be evaluated on their practical knowledge of:

- Electrical control panel troubleshooting and safety.
- Power and control circuits.
- VFD operation and fault diagnosis.
- Chilled-water regulating and bypass valves.
- TXV operation and troubleshooting.
- Oil separators and compressor lubrication.
- Safe working practices during installation and commissioning.

Pay: ₹8,600.00 - ₹13,000.00 per month
