An HVAC Project Manager oversees the planning, budgeting, procurement, installation, testing, and handover of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. [1, 2]Key Responsibilities

- Project Planning: Review project specifications, blueprints, and local code requirements (such as ASHRAE guidelines).
- Budget & Bidding: Create cost estimates, evaluate labor and material expenses, and manage project budgets.
- Procurement & Scheduling: Coordinate the ordering of equipment (chillers, ductwork, units) and track delivery timelines.
- Site Coordination: Supervise technicians, subcontractors, and engineers to ensure work matches approved drawings and safety rules.
- Commissioning & Handover: Oversee system testing, final client sign-offs,



and project documentation delivery.

Typical Requirements

- Education: Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
- Experience: Usually 3 to 10+ years of hands-on or management experience in HVAC and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) projects.
- Core Skills: Knowledge of HVAC schematics, financial tracking, leadership, and code compliance.
