About the Role

Pepup HR is hiring a Lead – Strategy & Media Relations on behalf of its client, for their team based in Delhi. You will develop and execute communication strategies that strengthen leadership positioning, shape public narratives and drive media and digital outreach. The role suits professionals with first-hand exposure to political PR and campaigns who can work independently and deliver compelling, executionready communication plans.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute political communication strategies to strengthen leadership positioning and shape narratives around leaders and key issues.
- Manage political PR mandates, including narrative building, media positioning and strategic communication planning.
- Act as media liaison, coordinating with media platforms, publications and editorial stakeholders to secure content placement, and prepare media briefs, communication notes, op-eds, articles and thought-leadership content.
- Identify influencers and third-party partners, build outreach strategies, and develop influencer-led content ideas, briefs and campaign plans.
- Plan and execute digital and third-party communication campaigns to amplify key messages across platforms.
- Track political developments and public discourse, and translate research, governance initiatives and policy developments into clear, audience-relevant messaging.
- Monitor media coverage and campaign performance, recommend improvements,



and manage multiple mandates with quality and confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Political Science, Public Policy or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in political communications, political PR or campaign communication, with proven strength in narrative development, media engagement and writing (op-eds, media briefs, articles).
- Experience in influencer outreach and campaign coordination, preferably in the political or public affairs domain.
- Strong understanding of India’s political landscape, with excellent spoken and written skills in English and Hindi.
- Solid stakeholder and project management skills, with high discretion and the ability to handle multiple mandates and tight deadlines.
- Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience managing political leaders’ communication mandates, political PR campaigns, media placements or influencer-led political communication initiatives

Pay: ₹2,000,000.00 - ₹2,200,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Delhi, Delhi: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
