1. Job Summary

JPK Automation is looking for a skilled and responsible VMC Operator to operate Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines, perform machining operations as per engineering drawings, maintain component quality, and achieve production targets.

2. Key Responsibilities

- Operate VMC machines as per production requirements and work instructions.
- Perform job setting, tool setting, and workpiece alignment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and machining specifications.
- Load and execute CNC programs and make basic tool offset corrections as required.
- Inspect machined components using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Height Gauges.
- Ensure components meet the required dimensional accuracy and quality standards.
- Monitor machine performance, tool wear, and machining processes.
- Achieve daily production targets while maintaining product quality.
- Identify machining defects and report machine-related issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine preventive maintenance.
- Follow safety procedures, 5S practices, and company quality standards.
- Maintain production records and inspection reports as required.

3. Required Skills and Competencies





- Knowledge of VMC machine operations.
- Basic understanding of CNC programming and G-code.
- Knowledge of tool setting, job setting, and offset adjustments.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and inspection methods.
- Understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, and tool wear.
- Valuable problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

4. Educational Qualification

ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or an equivalent technical qualification.

5. Experience

Candidates with 1–3 years of experience in VMC machine operation will be preferred. Freshers with relevant technical knowledge may also be considered.

6. Working Conditions

- Working Hours: As per company shift schedule.
- Shift: General or rotational shift, as applicable.
- Salary: As per experience and technical skills.
- Work Location: As per company requirements.

7. Performance Expectations

- Achieve production targets within the specified time.
- Maintain component quality and dimensional accuracy.
- Minimize rejection, rework, and machine downtime.
- Follow workplace safety and discipline.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and machine care.
