Job Description – Safety Officer

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and experienced Safety Officer to ensure workplace safety across construction sites. The candidate will be responsible for identifying potential hazards, implementing safety procedures, conducting inspections, ensuring statutory compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture across all project activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits at project sites.
- Develop, implement, and monitor safety policies, procedures, and systems.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations, labour laws, and statutory requirements.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to construction activities, equipment, and site operations.
- Provide safety guidance during project planning, design, and execution.
- Conduct safety induction, toolbox talks, and emergency response training for employees and contractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and ensure proper use of PPE and safety equipment.
- Coordinate with vendors for the procurement of safety gear and equipment.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, registers,



and statutory documentation.
- Promote employee awareness and a zero-accident safety culture across project sites.
- Stay updated with industry safety standards, best practices, and regulatory changes.

Qualifications & Experience

- Diploma / Degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a relevant field.
- Relevant experience in construction, infrastructure, or real estate project safety preferred.
- Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and statutory compliance.
- Relevant safety certifications will be an added advantage.

Skills & Competencies

- Strong knowledge of construction and real estate safety practices.
- Valuable understanding of labour laws and statutory compliance.
- Expertise in risk assessment, hazard identification, and safety audits.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage site workforce and contractors effectively.
- Proactive approach towards workplace safety and accident prevention.

Salary & Benefits

Salary: As per experience, qualifications, and industry standards.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
