Marine Welder (MIG/TIG/FCAW/SMAW)
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Welder to execute structural and pipe welding on vessels, barges, and marine infrastructure at our shipyard in Latvia. You will work in dynamic, fast-paced Baltic shipyard conditions to produce welds that meet strict European and international maritime testing standards.
Responsibilities:
Execute multi-pass welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum using FCAW, SMAW, MIG, and TIG processes.
Ensure all welds pass visual inspections, hydrostatic testing, and non-destructive testing (NDT), including X-ray and ultrasonic checks.
Set up, calibrate, and maintain welding equipment, adjusting voltage and wire feed based on material thickness and Baltic weather conditions.
Strictly follow hot work permits, fire watch protocols, and confined space ventilation requirements.
Requirements:
5+ years of active welding experience in a shipyard, dry dock, or heavy marine environment.
Must be able to pass a standard 6G pipe test and 3G/4G structural plate test in office in Latvia.
Active or previous AWS/ABS or European equivalent (e.g., DNV, Lloyd's Register) certifications are highly preferred.
Willingness to relocate to or commute within Latvia.
Marine Pipe Fabricator
Job Overview: We are hiring a precise Pipe Fabricator to work in our Latvia-based fabrication shop, building the complex spool pieces and pipe networks required for marine fluid systems before they are installed on the vessel.
Responsibilities:
Read and interpret complex isometric drawings, blueprints, and spool sheets to European standards.
Measure, cut, thread, and bevel pipe using band saws,
plasma cutters, oxy-acetylene torches, and pipe threaders.
Lay out and tack-weld fittings, flanges, elbows, and valves for the final weldout by the welding team.
Calculate take-offs, angles, and offsets using expert-level shop math to ensure exact tolerances.
Requirements:
5+ years of dedicated pipe fabrication experience, specifically with marine systems (ballast, fuel, cooling, fire mains).
Mastery of fabricating with carbon steel, copper-nickel (CuNi), and stainless steel piping.
Ability to safely operate shop overhead cranes and rigging equipment.
Valid work authorization or ability to obtain a work visa for Latvia.
Marine Pipe Fitter
Job Overview: We require an experienced Marine Pipe Fitter to handle the physical installation, alignment, and testing of piping systems directly aboard ships in Latvia. This role requires navigating tight vessel compartments to route essential systems for refits and new builds.
Responsibilities:
Install shop-fabricated pipe spools, valves, strainers, and pumps into ship hulls and engine rooms.
Bolt up flanged connections, install pipe hangers, and secure systems against heavy marine vibration.
Conduct hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests to verify the integrity of the installed systems.
Work closely with marine welders to properly align and gap joints for final field welding.
Requirements:
5+ years of marine pipe fitting experience on active vessels, refits, or new builds in a commercial dry dock.
Deep knowledge of international maritime piping standards and color-coding systems.
Ability to work comfortably at heights, in confined engine spaces, and in all Baltic weather conditions on-site in Latvia.
Ship Hull Fitter / Marine Plater
Job Overview: We are looking for a heavy-duty Hull Fitter to assemble, modify, and repair the structural framework and exterior plating of marine vessels at our Latvia shipyard. You will manipulate heavy steel to shape the ship's core architecture.
Responsibilities:
Align, fit, and tack-weld heavy steel plates, bulkheads, deck frames, and stanchions.
Rig and maneuver massive steel components into exact position using chain falls, come-alongs, hydraulic jacks, and crane signals.
Operate oxy-acetylene torches, carbon arc gougers, and heavy grinders to cut and modify steel plates to exact structural tolerances.
Interpret ship lofting plans and structural blueprints to build or repair hull sections.
Requirements:
5+ years of heavy structural steel fitting within a shipyard or dry dock environment.
Extensive experience in rigging and moving steel plates weighing several tons safely.
Uncompromising approach to safety, fall protection, and overhead hazards.
Ready to work on-site at our marine facilities in Latvia.
Pay: From ₹10,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
