Key Roles and Responsibilities

- Operate heat treatment furnaces as per production plans and work instructions.
- Load and unload components into and from the furnace using appropriate tools and material-handling equipment.
- Set and monitor furnace temperature, heating time, soaking time, and cooling cycle as per process requirements.
- Monitor furnace operation and report any abnormal conditions to the supervisor.
- Check component identification, batch quantity, and job cards before processing.
- Maintain production records, furnace logs, temperature charts, and batch reports.
- Ensure proper quenching operations using oil, water, or other specified cooling media.
- Inspect components visually for surface defects, cracks, distortion, or other abnormalities.
- Follow safety procedures while handling hot components and operating furnace equipment.
- Use required PPE, including heat-resistant gloves, face shields, safety shoes, and protective clothing.
- Maintain housekeeping and follow 5S practices in the production area.
- Report furnace breakdowns, process deviations,



and quality issues to the supervisor or maintenance team.
- Coordinate with the Quality and Maintenance departments for process checks and equipment maintenance.
- Follow safety procedures for emergency shutdowns and report unsafe conditions immediately.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience in furnace operation or heat treatment processes is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of temperature controllers, thermocouples, and furnace operations.
- Understanding of production safety, material handling, and quality requirements.
- Ability to maintain production records and follow work instructions.
- Willingness to work in shifts, if required.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
