About the Role

Rapid Motion Studios is developing an indie third-person horror game. We’re looking for a skilled, adaptable 3D Animator to create animations for enemies, NPCs, and supporting characters.

You’ll work closely with a small indie team, contributing to character performances and gameplay animation while supporting other animation needs throughout development.

Key Responsibilities

- Create character animations, including locomotion, attacks, interactions, hit reactions, and deaths.
- Develop distinctive enemy movements and behaviours that support the game’s horror atmosphere and gameplay.
- Bring NPCs and supporting characters to life through believable body language and performances.
- Handle animation cleanup, retargeting, and in-engine testing and refinement.
- Collaborate with the team to meet creative and gameplay requirements.
- Learn and adapt to tools such as Unreal Engine 5 and Cascadeur.
- Support additional animation tasks and take on new responsibilities as project needs evolve.

Required Skills

- Robust understanding of animation principles,



body mechanics, timing, weight, and posing.
- Proficiency in Maya, Blender, or a comparable 3D animation tool.
- Familiarity with rigged characters and game animation workflows.
- A portfolio or showreel demonstrating 3D character animation skills.
- Willingness to learn new tools, solve problems, and take ownership of unfamiliar tasks.
- Good communication, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate within a small team.
- Availability to work full-time, on-site in Surat, Gujarat.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with creature, enemy, or combat animation.
- Familiarity with Unreal Engine 5 animation workflows.
- Experience with Cascadeur.

Prior experience with Unreal Engine 5 and Cascadeur is a plus; willingness to learn and use these tools is essential.
