Position: Mathematics Teacher for TGT
Location: Adalaj, Gandhinagar, Gujarat
Reporting To: Head of Department (HOD) / Academic Coordinator / Principal
Employment Type: Full-Time

1. Job Purpose

To deliver effective, engaging, and concept-based Mathematics instruction that develops students’ logical reasoning, analytical thinking, numerical proficiency, and problem-solving abilities in alignment with the CBSE curriculum and the school's academic standards.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Teaching & Academic Delivery

- Plan and deliver structured Mathematics lessons in accordance with the prescribed CBSE curriculum.
- Explain mathematical concepts using practical examples, activities, demonstrations, and real-life applications.
- Develop students’ conceptual understanding, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Prepare lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, question banks, and teaching-learning materials.
- Incorporate appropriate digital tools, smart classroom resources, and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Address the learning needs of students with different academic abilities.

B. Assessment & Performance Management

- Conduct regular class tests, assignments, quizzes, and examinations.
- Evaluate answer sheets and maintain accurate records of students’ academic performance.
- Analyse assessment results and implement remedial measures wherever required.
- Provide constructive feedback and additional academic support to students.
- Prepare progress reports and contribute to academic reviews as required.

C. Classroom Management & Student Development

- Maintain discipline and create a positive, inclusive, and student-friendly learning environment.
- Encourage student participation, curiosity, confidence, and independent thinking.
- Identify learning gaps and provide appropriate guidance and mentoring.
- Promote academic integrity, responsible behaviour, and effective study habits.

D. Curriculum Planning & Coordination

- Complete the prescribed syllabus within the academic calendar.
- Coordinate with the HOD and fellow teachers for curriculum planning and academic activities.




- Participate in departmental meetings, workshops, training sessions, and school events.
- Contribute to Mathematics Olympiads, quizzes, exhibitions, competitions, and other enrichment activities, as assigned.

E. Parent Communication & Documentation

- Communicate students’ academic progress and areas for improvement to parents.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings and academic review sessions.
- Maintain lesson plans, attendance records, assessment data, and other academic documentation.
- Follow school policies, CBSE guidelines, child-safeguarding requirements, and institutional procedures.

3. Educational Qualifications

- M.Sc. with Mathematics.
- B.Ed. from a recognized institution, as applicable to the teaching level and recruitment requirements.
- M.Ed. in Mathematics will be an added advantage.
- CTET / TET qualification, wherever applicable to the position and relevant recruitment norms.

4. Experience

- Relevant teaching experience in Mathematics at a CBSE-affiliated school is preferred.
- Experience teaching the relevant grade levels and preparing students for school examinations is desirable.
- Candidates with solid subject knowledge, communication skills, and effective classroom management abilities may also be considered in accordance with school requirements.
