JOB DESCRIPTION – QUANTITY SURVEYOR

1. Job Overview

COVO Architecture Studio is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to manage project cost estimation, quantity calculations, BOQ preparation, budgeting, and cost control for construction and interior projects.

The candidate should have a good understanding of construction drawings, material quantities, estimation, and project costing.

2. Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed BOQs (Bill of Quantities) for construction and interior projects.

2. Calculate quantities of materials, labour, and other project requirements.

3. Prepare project cost estimates and budgets.

4. Analyse architectural and structural drawings for quantity take-offs.

5. Collect and compare quotations from suppliers and contractors.

6. Monitor project expenses and maintain proper cost control.

7. Prepare rate analysis for construction materials and activities.

Verify contractor bills and payment claims.

9. Track material requirements and minimise material wastage.

10. Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Purchase Departments.

11. Prepare project cost reports and submit updates to management.

3. Educational Qualifications

- B.Tech / Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant qualification.

- Minimum 1 year of experience in Quantity Surveying.

- Experience in construction or interior projects is preferred.

4. Technical Skills

- Knowledge of BOQ preparation and quantity estimation.

- Valuable knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.

- Understanding of construction materials and specifications.

- Knowledge of cost estimation and budgeting.

5. Required Skills

- Strong numerical and analytical skills.

- Attention to detail and accuracy.

- Good communication and coordination skills.

- Time management and organisational skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
