We are looking for a hands-on Machine Operator to operate and maintain different machines used in our production process.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the computerised embroidery machine for different designs and products.
- Operate the button fixing machine.
- Operate the laser cutting machine for fabric and other approved materials.
- Set up machines according to the required design, material and production specifications.
- Load materials, threads and other consumables and ensure correct machine settings before production.
- Monitor machines during operation and identify issues such as thread breaks, alignment problems, cutting errors or machine stoppages.
- Carry out basic troubleshooting, cleaning and routine machine maintenance.
- Check finished output for quality, accuracy and consistency.
- Maintain daily records of production quantity, rejects, downtime and machine issues.
- Ensure machines and the surrounding work area are kept clean and organised.
- Follow all machine operating and safety procedures.
- Coordinate with the Production Manager to complete daily production requirements on time.
Requirements
- Previous experience operating production machinery is preferred.
- Experience with embroidery, laser cutting or similar computer-operated machines is an advantage.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn machine software.
- Valuable attention to detail and quality.
- Comfortable working with production targets.
- Willingness to learn to operate multiple machines.
- Responsible for proper handling and upkeep of machines.
The person should be hands-on, technically inclined and comfortable taking ownership of the machines assigned to them.
