Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft 365 Migration Specialist with strong expertise in Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive migrations. The candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and executing tenant-to-tenant and hybrid migrations, particularly in Merger & Acquisition (M&A;) environments, ensuring secure data transfer, seamless coexistence, minimal business disruption, and successful post-migration handover.

Key Responsibilities1. Exchange Online & Email Migration

- Assess Exchange Online, on-premises Exchange, and Microsoft 365 environments before migration.
- Execute mailbox migrations, including tenant-to-tenant, hybrid, cross-forest, and on-premises-to-Exchange Online migrations.
- Migrate shared mailboxes, distribution groups, archives, permissions, and related email services.
- Configure SMTP, DNS, mail connectors, routing, and secure mail flow.
- Troubleshoot mail-flow, mailbox access, and synchronization issues.

2. Microsoft Teams, SharePoint & OneDrive Migration

- Assess Teams, channels, SharePoint sites, OneDrive accounts, Microsoft 365 Groups, permissions, and associated applications.
- Execute migration waves for collaboration data, including Teams, SharePoint content, OneDrive files, and Microsoft 365 Groups.
- Validate permissions, external sharing, workflows, and content integrity after migration.
- Support cross-tenant collaboration and resolve migration-related access issues.

3. Coexistence, Cutover & M&A; Transition

- Plan and execute migration waves, cutovers, rollback procedures, and transition activities.
- Maintain email routing, calendar sharing, address-book coexistence, and collaboration access during migration.
- Ensure Day-1 business continuity throughout M&A; transitions.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, security, application,



and business teams to minimize downtime and disruption.

4. Security, Validation & Handover

- Work with Microsoft Entra ID, Entra Connect, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, and Microsoft Purview as required.
- Validate migrated mailboxes, files, permissions, sharing settings, and service functionality.
- Troubleshoot migration failures and resolve post-migration issues.
- Prepare migration documentation, runbooks, and operational handover materials.
- Support legacy Exchange decommissioning and transition services to operations teams.

Required Experience

- 5+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration and migration projects.
- Hands-on experience with Exchange Online and collaboration workload migrations.
- Practical exposure to tenant-to-tenant migrations and complex enterprise environments.
- Experience handling migration waves, coexistence, cutover, and post-migration support.
- Robust troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Microsoft 365 or Exchange Online certifications.
- Experience with enterprise-scale M&A; migrations.
- Familiarity with identity, security, compliance, and legacy system decommissioning.
