- Operate and monitor the heart-lung machine during cardiac surgeries, ensuring secure and effective cardiopulmonary bypass.

- Prepare, assemble, prime, and check perfusion circuits, oxygenators, and related equipment before surgery.

- Monitor vital parameters, blood flow, oxygenation, temperature, and other physiological indicators throughout the procedure.

- Coordinate with cardiac surgeons and anesthesiologists to maintain appropriate perfusion and patient stability during surgery.

- Monitor anticoagulation and other perfusion-related parameters as directed by the clinical team and established protocols.

- Ensure the availability and proper functioning of perfusion equipment, consumables, and emergency backup systems.

- Maintain accurate records of perfusion parameters, equipment usage, and other relevant clinical details.

- Follow infection control practices, biomedical waste management guidelines, and OT safety protocols.

- Perform routine equipment checks,

- Participate in emergency preparedness, drills, training programs, and quality improvement activities related to perfusion services.

- Coordinate with OT staff, biomedical engineering, and other relevant departments to ensure smooth functioning of perfusion services.

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and demonstrate professional conduct while dealing with patients and colleagues.
