Role Description The Barista is a full-time, on-site role based in the Pune Division, responsible for preparing and serving specialty coffee, tea, and other beverages that complement La’ Wai Patisserie’s baked goods. Day-to-day responsibilities include operating coffee equipment, preparing beverages to recipe standards, and assisting with light food preparation as needed. The Barista will welcome guests, take orders, handle payments, and ensure a clean, organized service area. This role involves delivering attentive customer service, managing order flow during peak hours, and collaborating with the bakery team to provide a consistently high-quality guest experience. Qualifications




• Candidates should possess Barista skills, including beverage preparation, espresso-based drink making, and basic coffee equipment handling.
• Candidates should possess Food Preparation skills, with attention to hygiene, safety, and presentation when handling baked goods and accompaniments.
• Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to create a welcoming workplace, manage orders efficiently, and address guest needs professionally.
• Candidates should possess solid Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to work effectively with guests and team members.
• Previous experience as a barista or in a café/bakery setting is preferred; familiarity with specialty coffee and French-style pastries is an advantage.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, work flexible shifts, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Basic cash-handling skills and comfort using point-of-sale systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; training will be provided for the right candidate with a strong customer-focused mindset.
