As a Civil Site Supervisor in a road construction company, you serve as the critical on-the-ground link between engineering designs, project management, and daily execution. Your role ensures that roads are built safely, to specification, on schedule, and within quality standards.

Core Responsibilities

- Site Execution & Oversight: Direct daily field operations, ensuring that construction work proceeds according to approved drawings, alignment sheets, and technical specifications.
- Quality Control & Testing: Oversee materials testing (such as soil compaction, sub-base density, asphalt/bitumen temperature, and concrete strength) and monitor layer-by-layer construction compliance (Embankment, Subgrade, Granular Sub-Base, Wet Mix Macadam, and Bituminous layers).
- Progress Monitoring & Reporting: Track daily output (e.g., excavation volumes, paving lengths) and report site progress, labor deployment, and machinery utilization to the Project Manager.
- Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols on site, including proper use of PPE, traffic diversion setup, and hazard warnings.
- Manpower & Equipment Management:



Coordinate equipment deployment (excavators, graders, rollers, pavers, tankers) and supervise contractors, skilled workers, and laborers.
- Surveying & Leveling: Assist or verify basic site layout, benchmarks, slope gradients, camber, and levels using instruments like auto-levels and total stations.

Key Skills Required

- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of highway construction layers, IRC (Indian Roads Congress) or local highway standards, mix designs, and compaction requirements.
- Blueprint Literacy: Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings, cross-sections, longitudinal profiles, and drainage plans.
- Problem-Solving: Quick decision-making capabilities to handle unexpected site hurdles like utility clashes, adverse weather, or material delivery delays.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate between senior engineers, testing laboratories, equipment operators, and local authorities.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
