Role Definition

The SRE role is responsible for improving the deployment, reliability, availability, performance, operational quality and security posture of production systems. This role provides technical input into project plans, schedules, methodologies, and operational strategies across multiple system environments.

The role requires in depth, hands on, experience of at least one cloud environment along with the ability to work with existing deployment processes and code bases while advising on and making pragmatic improvements.

Engineers must be able to work collaboratively across groups such as application engineering, security, networking, database, operations and support teams.

Scope and Key Responsibilities

- Delivery of resilient application stacks via Infrastructure as Code and other DevOps practices
- Monitor environments, respond to alerts and incidents, diagnose system and performance issues, and coordinate escalation and recovery.
- Design and maintain automation, scripts, integrations, runbooks, and workflows for provisioning infrastructure, application deployments, health checks, remediation, and routine operations.
- Establish logging, monitoring, alerting, metrics, and tracing standards; improve alert quality by reducing noise and ensuring alerts are actionable.
- Build dashboards and visualizations that communicate system health, availability, performance, capacity, service-level objectives, and incident trends.




- Contribute to Operations Team projects from planning and implementation through documentation, transition to support, and closure.
- Review and improve technical procedures, scripts, automation, and operational documentation.
- Track activities and stakeholder commitments through completion to deliver project work and improve production quality, reliability, and availability.

Technical Skills

- Strong experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE),production operations, change request management and application releases
- Professional hands-on expertise with public cloud infrastructure in Azure, Kubernetes (AKS), containerized workloads, virtualization, and distributed systems.
- Solid automation and infrastructure engineering skills, including Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), configuration management, scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell), system provisioning, deployments through CI/CD (Github Actions), remediation, and security risk mitigation
- Advanced knowledge of Linux/UNIX and Windows environments, storage and file systems, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, lifecycle management, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, logging, observability, and performance analysis, including the ability to analyze system diagnostics, logs, traces, resource utilization, and operational metric
