Job Description – Purchase Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Purchase Manager with prior experience in a solar company or the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of procurement, vendor management, negotiation, and purchase operations to ensure timely availability of materials at competitive prices.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement and purchasing activities for solar and renewable energy projects.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and favourable terms.
- Source solar panels, inverters, electrical components, mounting structures, and other project-related materials as required.
- Prepare and process purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with project and operations teams to ensure material availability.




- Track deliveries, verify purchase documentation, and resolve supply-related issues.
- Maintain purchase records, supplier databases, and procurement reports.
- Ensure purchases comply with company standards, budgets, and quality requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in purchase or procurement, preferably in a solar company or the renewable energy sector.
- Solid negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of procurement procedures, purchase documentation, and inventory management.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple teams and manage deadlines effectively.
- Good analytical skills and a cost-conscious approach to purchasing.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
