We're Hiring – Operational Excellence Intern Universal Edge Services (UES) Position: Operational Excellence Intern Internship Duration: 6 Months Nature: Paid Internship Stipend: ₹8,000–₹12,000 per month (based on candidate profile) Work Environment: Client Manufacturing Facilities & Project Locations About Universal Edge Services Universal Edge Services is an Operational Excellence consulting firm helping manufacturing organizations improve productivity, quality, delivery, operational efficiency and profitability through Lean Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, process improvement and digital transformation. We are looking for a motivated and analytical Operational Excellence Intern who is passionate about manufacturing, process improvement and problem-solving. The selected candidate will get an opportunity to work on live consulting assignments and gain hands-on exposure to manufacturing operations across industries.

Key Responsibilities
• Lean Manufacturing: Support implementation of 5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Visual Management and other Lean Manufacturing practices.
• Productivity Improvement: Conduct time studies, method studies, line balancing and capacity analysis.
• Process Improvement: Participate in Value Stream Mapping (VSM), identify process bottlenecks and recommend improvement opportunities.
• Data Analysis: Analyse production and operational data, prepare Excel-based reports and performance dashboards.
• Project Execution: Assist consultants in implementing improvement initiatives at client manufacturing facilities.
• Documentation: Develop SOPs, work instructions, presentations, project reports and improvement documentation.
• Shop-Floor Engagement: Interact with operators,



supervisors and management teams to understand processes and facilitate improvement activities. Candidate Profile
• Engineering graduate or final-year engineering student.
• Mechanical, Industrial, Production or Manufacturing Engineering preferred.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial engineering concepts.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and eager to learn.
• Comfortable working in factory and shop-floor environments.
• Must be willing to travel to client manufacturing facilities across different locations in India.
• Should be comfortable with short-duration outstation assignments.
