Role Description The Senior Field Service Engineer (Senior FSE) is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City, responsible for installing, commissioning, and maintaining ASMPT SMT equipment at customer facilities. This role involves troubleshooting complex hardware and software issues, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring minimal production downtime. The Senior FSE will train customer personnel on equipment usage and best practices, document service activities, and provide feedback to internal engineering and product teams to support continuous improvement. The position requires regular interaction with customers, coordination with global support teams, and adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards. Qualifications




• Robust technical expertise in electronics manufacturing equipment, including installation, commissioning, and maintenance of SMT machines or similar industrial systems.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and automation systems, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues on-site.
• Experience with industrial control systems, PLCs, robotics, or machine vision solutions used in modern production environments.
• Solid understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts, smart factory solutions, and networked production systems.
• Excellent customer-facing skills, including clear communication, training capability, and professional problem-solving in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, service manuals, and engineering documentation.
• Comfort with documentation tools, service reporting, and basic office software for organizing and communicating service activities.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related engineering discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior field service experience in capital equipment or electronics manufacturing environments, ideally in a senior or lead role.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites within the region as required and to work flexible hours based on customer needs.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous learning in a fast-evolving technology landscape.
