Role Description The Cost Accountant at Paragon Footwear will work on-site in Kottayam in a full-time capacity, supporting the finance team with accurate cost analysis and reporting. This role involves preparing, monitoring, and updating cost records for various production units and product lines, as well as analyzing variances between standard and actual costs. The Cost Accountant will assist in preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring proper allocation of costs and adherence to accounting standards.



Daily tasks include posting and reviewing journal entries, reconciling cost accounts, supporting budgeting and forecasting activities, and providing cost insights to management for pricing and profitability decisions. The role also requires collaboration with production, procurement, and inventory teams to maintain reliable cost data and improve cost efficiency. Qualifications
• Strong Cost Accounting skills, including cost analysis, variance analysis, and standard costing.
• Proficiency in Finance and Financial Statements, with the ability to interpret and support reporting and compliance.
• Solid Analytical Skills to evaluate cost drivers, margins, and trends and provide actionable recommendations.
• Experience with Journal Entries (Accounting) and general ledger processes, ensuring accurate and timely postings.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CMA, CA Inter) are an advantage.
• Familiarity with ERP or accounting software and strong Excel skills for cost modeling and data analysis.
• Attention to detail, integrity, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a manufacturing environment.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or footwear/consumer goods industries is preferred.
