Job Description The Technical Business Analyst - IoT Security will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders, product teams, security teams, architects, and technical delivery teams supporting connected IoT solutions. This individual will gather and translate business needs into clear technical requirements across IoT devices, connectivity, cloud platforms, data pipelines, integrations, and security. The role will support solutions from requirements gathering and design through testing, deployment, and ongoing product support. Skills and Requirements 4-8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst
Hands-on experience supporting IoT, connected devices, or connected-product solutions
Robust understanding of end-to-end IoT architecture, including devices/sensors, gateways, connectivity, cloud platforms, data processing, and integrations
Experience gathering and documenting functional and non-functional requirements
Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements
Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications for engineering, architecture, and security teams
Understanding of IoT connectivity and protocols, including MQTT, HTTP, REST APIs, and TCP/IP
Experience working with APIs, system integrations, and data flows
Familiarity with Azure, AWS, or GCP and associated IoT/cloud services
Working knowledge of IoT security, device security, and data privacy principles
Experience supporting Agile/Scrum delivery, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
Experience with UAT,



pilot testing, defect triage, and product launches
Strong communication skills with the ability to work across both technical and non-technical stakeholder groups
Experience within industrial IoT, manufacturing, utilities, water, energy, or smart infrastructure
Experience supporting large-scale or global IoT deployments
Exposure to device lifecycle management, firmware updates, and remote device monitoring
Experience integrating IoT platforms with ERP, CRM, data lakes, analytics platforms, or other enterprise systems
Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, or basic scripting
Experience working with dashboards, analytics tools, or data-driven platforms
