Pragathy Group is a business group based in Kodungalloor, Kerala, started in 2016. It has two wholesale distribution businesses: Swastik Traders, which supplies construction and farming materials, and Optima Distributors, which supplies household products. It also has two retail businesses: Pragathy Home Needs, a household showroom, and Pragathy Plastics, a retail shop for construction and farming materials.

Job Summary

Pragathy Home Needs is looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Showroom Manager to lead showroom operations, sales performance, and team management. The successful candidate will drive revenue growth, deliver an excellent customer experience, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the showroom.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day showroom operations, sales, and profitability.
- Achieve daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales targets.
- Assign staff responsibilities and targets, and track performance by staff, category, and department.
- Lead, train, and motivate the team on product knowledge, customer handling, upselling, and cross-selling.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming, uniform, and behaviour.
- Ensure excellent customer service; handle enquiries, complaints, returns, exchanges, and escalations.
- Oversee visual merchandising, planogram, display, pricing, labelling, and promotional displays.
- Monitor stock availability and fast, slow, and non-moving items; coordinate replenishment with Inventory and Purchase.
- Conduct physical stock verification and investigate discrepancies, damages, and shortages.
- Supervise billing, discounts, returns, cancellations, cash counter, and daily sales reporting.
- Coordinate with Accounts on cash collection, credit sales, and payments.
- Plan promotions, offers,



and festival campaigns with the marketing team.
- Track conversion rate, average bill value, footfall, productivity, and competitor pricing and offers.
- Ensure proper opening and closing procedures and compliance with SOPs and policies.
- Maintain showroom cleanliness, safety, and discipline.
- Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the Retail Operations Manager and management, and take corrective action when performance falls short..

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

- Any Bachelor's Degree
- MBA / Retail Management qualification is an added advantage

Experience & Skills

- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a showroom, store, or retail management role.
- Strong team leadership and people management skills.
- Good knowledge of retail sales, merchandising, and inventory control.
- Excellent customer handling and communication abilities.
- Basic knowledge of billing / POS software and MS Office.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in Home Needs, Household Products, Home Appliances, Furniture, or Supermarket retail.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing high-performing retail teams.
