About us
We are building a financial trading software platform covering pricing, execution, risk and market data across rates, FX and derivatives. Reliability, speed and security are not nice-to-haves for us; they are the product. We are looking for a hands-on DevOps engineer to own the infrastructure our platform runs on and the pipelines our developers ship through. The roleYou will design, build and run the cloud and on-prem infrastructure behind a real-time trading system. You will work closely with developers, quants and traders, and you will be the person who makes sure code reaches production safely, quickly and repeatably, and stays up during market hours. What you will do
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multi-service trading applications, with automated testing, security scanning and controlled releases.
• Build and manage infrastructure as code (Terraform, Helm or similar) across cloud GCP and any co-located or on-prem environments.
• Run containerised workloads on Kubernetes, tuned for low-latency and high-availability services.
• Set up monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, OpenTelemetry) with a focus on latency, throughput and market-data health.
• Support the infrastructure for market data feeds, FIX/API connectivity, message buses (Kafka, Solace, NATS) and time-series databases.
• Own disaster recovery, backups, failover testing and business-continuity runbooks.
• Harden security: secrets management, IAM, network segmentation, vulnerability management and audit logging.
• Support regulatory and audit requirements (e.g. FCA, FINMA, MiFID II record-keeping, SOC 2 / ISO 27001) through controls, evidence and change management.




• Manage cloud costs and capacity planning as the platform scales.
• Take part in an on-call rota aligned to trading hours, and lead incident response and post-mortems.
• Mentor developers on DevOps practices and help shape our engineering culture. What you bringMust have
• 5+ years in DevOps, SRE or platform engineering, with at least some of it in production systems where downtime is costly.
• Robust Linux administration and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing, VPNs).
• Hands-on Kubernetes and Docker in production.
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform (or equivalent).
• CI/CD tooling such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins.
• Scripting in Python, Bash or Go.
• Experience with at least one major cloud provider (GCP).
• Solid grasp of observability and incident management. Nice to have
• Experience in banks, hedge funds, prop trading firms, exchanges or fintech.
• Low-latency tuning: kernel bypass, CPU pinning, NUMA, time sync (PTP/NTP).
• Familiarity with FIX protocol, market data vendors (Bloomberg, Refinitiv) or exchange connectivity.
• Kafka or other streaming platforms at scale.
• Security certifications or experience with SOC 2 / ISO 27001 audits.
• Exposure to quant/risk compute grids or GPU workloads.
