Role Description This is a full time remote role for a SQL Database Administrator at PInterview. The SQL Database Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining SQL databases that support the online platform and related services. Daily tasks include monitoring database performance, optimizing queries, managing backups and recovery, and ensuring data integrity and security. The role also involves designing and updating database schemas, managing replication and high availability solutions, and troubleshooting database-related issues in collaboration with engineering and product teams.



The administrator will help maintain reliable data infrastructure that supports scalable, secure, and high-performing user experiences. Qualifications
• Strong skills in Database Administration and Databases, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, backup, and recovery.
• Experience with Database Design, including data modeling, schema design, and optimization for scalability and reliability.
• Knowledge of Replication and high availability strategies, such as failover clustering, log shipping, or Always On solutions.
• Solid Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving database performance, connectivity, and integrity issues.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with at least one major relational database platform (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Understanding of database security best practices, including access control, encryption, and compliance with data protection standards.
• Experience working in cloud environments or with managed database services is beneficial.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
