The Head – Senior School is entrusted with the strategic, pedagogical, pastoral, and operational leadership of the Senior School at Shiv Nadar School, Chennai, encompassing the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). As a key member of the school’s academic and leadership team, the role ensures a rigorous, relevant, and holistic educational experience rooted in the philosophy of the International Baccalaureate (IB) and the values of Shiv Nadar School. The Head – Senior School fosters a secure, inclusive, and intellectually stimulating environment where every student is known, valued, challenged, and supported. With a strong emphasis on pastoral care and student well-being, the role ensures that appropriate structures are in place to support students' academic, social, emotional, and personal development, enabling them to grow into confident, compassionate, reflective, and responsible individuals.



Working closely with the MYP and DP Coordinators, subject leaders, educators, counsellors, and student support teams, the Head ensures coherence in curriculum, assessment, teaching and learning, and the overall student experience across both programmes. The role champions inquiry, conceptual understanding, interdisciplinary learning, international-mindedness, and meaningful student agency. Beyond academic leadership, the role involves fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, high expectations, and continuous learning among faculty.
