Learn more: https://www.skyquestt.com THE OPPORTUNITY We are looking for an experienced Principal Consultant to lead the design of a multi-source financing facility and its blended-capital architecture. The role will combine financial structuring, engagement with Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) and impact investors, negotiation of risk-sharing arrangements, and the development of a practical capital-mobilisation strategy.

ABOUT THE ROLE
As Principal Consultant, you will lead the end-to-end design of the financing facility, including its capital structure, blended-finance mechanisms, investor engagement, and capital-mobilisation strategy. You will be part of an embedded Technical Support Unit (TSU) comprising senior specialists. The TSU will work closely with the Institution's executive management and treasury teams. You will report to the TSU Manager (Team Leader).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assess the Institution's existing funding base and map the broader agricultural-finance capital landscape.
• Design the facility's capital structure and blended-capital architecture, including SPV structures, capital tranching, waterfalls, risk allocation, and exit or takeout mechanisms.
• Structure guarantees, co-investment arrangements, and risk-sharing facilities with development partners and capital providers.
• Lead engagement with DFIs, foundations, impact investors, commercial lenders, and guarantee providers.




• Develop an investor pipeline and validate proposed facility structures with prospective anchor investors and initial transactions.
• Prepare or oversee financing documentation, investor presentations, reporting standards, and the overall capital-mobilisation strategy.
• Advise executive management on capital strategy and support engagement with concessional and commercial capital providers.
• Collaborate with the agri-finance and credit-risk specialist to align guarantee and risk-sharing structures with lending products.
• Support the programme's transition and sustainability plan, ensuring the transfer of tools, processes, and stakeholder relationships to designated Institution teams. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE Education
• Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Development Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• CFA or an equivalent qualified qualification will be an advantage. Professional Experience
• 15+ years of experience in blended finance, structured finance, or development finance, preferably working with DFIs or impact investors.
• Demonstrated experience in structuring SPVs, guarantees, and risk-sharing facilities through to committed capital.
• Established professional network across DFIs, foundations, and impact investors, supported by strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
• Proven experience advising executive management teams and Boards of financial institutions. DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
• Experience in African or emerging-market development finance, particularly in Nigeria.
• Experience leading institutional transformation programmes.
• Previous experience working on development-partner-funded programmes.
