Role Description This is a full time, on-site Purchasing and Costing Engineer role based in Jamnagar. The Purchasing and Costing Engineer will manage end-to-end purchasing processes for metal components and raw materials, including vendor identification, quotation analysis, negotiation, and issuance of purchase orders in line with production and project requirements. The role involves planning and monitoring material requirements, aligning purchase plans with inventory levels, lead times, and customer delivery schedules.



The individual will analyze costing data, prepare cost estimates and comparisons, support price benchmarking, and recommend cost-optimization opportunities while maintaining quality and compliance standards. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate purchasing records, collaborating with engineering, production, and finance teams, monitoring supplier performance, and supporting continuous improvement in procurement and costing practices. Qualifications
• Strong understanding of purchasing processes, including purchase management and purchase planning, to support timely and cost-effective procurement.
• Hands-on experience with purchase orders and related documentation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with organizational policies.
• Well-developed analytical skills to review quotations, evaluate cost structures, compare supplier offers, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Knowledge of manufacturing or engineering environments, preferably in precision metal components or similar industrial sectors.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as engineering, production, and finance.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP or procurement software for data analysis and purchase tracking.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with attention to detail and a focus on quality and compliance.
