Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to prepare, review, and coordinate mechanical designs for MEP projects. The candidate should have knowledge of HVAC systems, ventilation, plumbing, firefighting systems, and relevant design software to ensure compliance with project specifications and applicable standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare mechanical design drawings, layouts, and detailed engineering drawings for MEP projects.
- Design HVAC systems, including ducting layouts, chilled water piping, and ventilation systems.
- Perform heat load calculations, equipment selection, and duct sizing.
- Prepare BOQs, technical specifications, and material schedules.
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, firefighting, and other engineering teams.
- Review architectural and structural drawings to identify design conflicts.
- Prepare shop drawings, builders' work drawings, and as-built drawings.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Conduct site visits and provide technical support to the execution team.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and project teams.




- Assist in resolving design issues and incorporating revisions as required.
- Maintain design documentation and submit drawings within project deadlines.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of HVAC systems and mechanical MEP services.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
- Knowledge of HAP or other HVAC load calculation software is an advantage.
- Understanding of HVAC design calculations, duct sizing, and equipment selection.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Positive coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of relevant IS, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NBC, and other applicable standards.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant experience in MEP design and building services projects is preferred.

Preferred Experience

- Experience in hotels, commercial buildings, hospitals, residential projects, or other large-scale MEP projects.
- Experience in design coordination, technical documentation, and multidisciplinary project execution.
