Job Summary

The Interior Estimator & Quotation Executive is responsible for preparing accurate, detailed, Excel-based quotations for modular furniture and interior projects using AutoCAD drawings, design layouts, project specifications, and material requirements. The role involves calculating material quantities, hardware, accessories, labour costs, and overall project pricing while coordinating with the design, production, purchase, and sales teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Drawing Analysis: Study AutoCAD 2D drawings, furniture layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed designs to understand project requirements.
- Quantity Estimation: Calculate quantities of boards, laminates, plywood, MDF, aluminium profiles, glass, hardware, fittings, and other materials.
- Quotation Preparation: Prepare detailed quotations using MS Excel based on approved drawings, material specifications, and company pricing standards.
- Cost Calculation: Estimate material costs, hardware costs, labour charges, installation expenses, transportation, and other applicable project costs.
- Rate Analysis: Maintain updated material rates, vendor price lists, hardware prices, and costing databases.
- Design Coordination: Coordinate with designers to clarify drawing dimensions, specifications, and missing project details.
- Production Coordination: Verify material requirements and quantities with the production team to ensure practical and accurate costing.
- Vendor Coordination: Obtain prices from suppliers and vendors and compare rates to support cost-effective purchasing.
- Quotation Revision: Update quotations according to changes in drawings, materials, specifications,



or client requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of drawings, BOQs (Bills of Quantities), quotations, costing sheets, and revisions.
- Order Finalization: Assist the sales and management teams with final costing, quotation submissions, and order-related documentation.

Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate or diploma holder in Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field; relevant experience may also be considered.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, lookup functions, data handling, and quotation formats.
- Basic to good knowledge of AutoCAD 2D for reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Understanding of modular furniture, wardrobes, kitchens, TV units, office furniture, and interior fit-out projects.
- Knowledge of materials such as plywood, MDF, particle board, laminates, veneers, aluminium profiles, and hardware fittings.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and costing skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in calculations.
- Good coordination, communication, and time-management skills.

Experience

- Preferred: 1–3 years of experience in interior estimation, modular furniture costing, BOQ preparation, or quotation management.
- Freshers with strong Excel skills and a valuable understanding of interior drawings may also be considered.

- Proper maintenance of quotation and pricing records.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
