JOB DESCRIPTION – PURCHASE EXECUTIVE

**Position:** Purchase Executive

**Department:** Purchase / Procurement

**Experience:** 2–4 Years

**Qualification:** Any Degree / Diploma / B.E. – Mechanical preferred

**Location:** Chennai

**Industry:** Manufacturing / Engineering / SPM

Key Responsibilities

* Handle **end-to-end purchase and procurement activities**.

* Identify and develop reliable **vendors and suppliers**.

* Source materials, components, and engineering items as per requirements.

* Obtain and compare **quotations** from different suppliers.

* Negotiate **price, quality, delivery terms, and payment terms** with vendors.

* Prepare and process

* ⁠Purchase Orders (PO)**.

* Follow up with suppliers for material delivery and timely dispatch.

* Coordinate with **Production, Stores, Design, and Accounts** departments.

* Monitor purchase orders and maintain proper **purchase records and documentation**.

* Verify material specifications and coordinate with vendors for quality-related issues.

Required Skills





* 2–4 years of experience in **Purchase/Procurement**, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering company.

* Knowledge of **engineering materials, machine components, and industrial products** is preferred.

* Valuable negotiation and vendor management skills.

* Knowledge of **Purchase Orders, RFQ, quotation comparison, and vendor evaluation.

* Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and suppliers.

* Knowledge of **ERP/Purchase software** will be an added advantage.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with experience in **SPM, automation, engineering, manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial machinery companies** will be preferred.

Salary

Depending on experience and skills.

**Notice Period:** Immediate / 15 days preferred.
