Job Summary

We are looking for a technically skilled and result-oriented BESS Installation Engineer to manage the installation, testing, commissioning, and site execution of Battery Energy Storage Systems. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that installation activities are completed as per approved drawings, technical specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and execute BESS installation activities at project sites.
- Coordinate the installation of battery racks, battery modules, containers, inverters/PCS, transformers, and associated electrical equipment.
- Ensure proper installation of DC and AC cabling, cable trays, earthing, and electrical connections.
- Coordinate the installation and integration of Battery Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), and monitoring systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, SLDs, layout drawings, and installation manuals.
- Conduct pre-commissioning checks, including cable continuity, insulation resistance, earthing, and equipment verification, as applicable.
- Coordinate with project managers, electrical engineers, contractors, vendors, and client representatives.
- Monitor manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required for site installation.




- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, and project quality standards.
- Maintain daily progress reports, installation checklists, inspection records, and site documentation.
- Assist in testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and resolving installation-related issues.
- Ensure project work is completed within the scheduled timeline and approved quality standards.

Required Qualifications

- Diploma or B.Tech in Electrical Engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical installation, commissioning, renewable energy, battery storage, or related EPC projects.
- Practical knowledge of BESS components, electrical systems, cable termination, earthing, and electrical testing.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and site execution practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and preparation of site progress reports.
- Willingness to travel and work at project sites as required.

Preferred Skills

- Hands-on experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) installation.
- Knowledge of PCS/inverters, BMS, EMS, HVAC, fire detection, and fire suppression systems used in BESS projects.
- Experience in contractor and manpower management.
- Strong troubleshooting, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
