Job Summary :

We are looking for an experienced Senior Design Engineer with strong expertise in SolidWorks and AutoCAD to handle mechanical design, 3D modelling, sheet metal design, machine assemblies and engineering drawings. The candidate will be responsible for developing new machinery, improving existing designs and providing engineering support to manufacturing operations.

Key Roles & Responsibilities :

- Develop 2D and 3D mechanical designs using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Design sheet metal components, mechanical parts, weldments, sub-assemblies and complete machine assemblies.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Ensure designs comply with engineering specifications, IS standards, GD&T; and dimensional tolerances.
- Select suitable mechanical and bought-out components based on engineering applications.
- Work on machine design, mechanical mechanisms, structures and engineering calculations.
- Coordinate with Production, Fabrication and Assembly teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Perform design validation, costing and manufacturing drawing verification.
- Participate in new product development (NPD), R&D;, prototype development and reverse engineering.
- Improve existing machine designs for better performance, quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain engineering drawings, design documentation and revision records.
- Provide technical support to production and service teams.





Required Technical Skills :

- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks 3D Modelling.
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD 2D Drafting.
- Sheet Metal Design and Mechanical Component Design.
- Machine Design, Assembly and Weldment Design.
- Manufacturing Drawing Preparation and BOM.
- GD&T;, Fits and Tolerances.
- Knowledge of IS Standards.
- Basic Engineering Calculations and Design for Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA).
- Knowledge of Gear Motors, Sensors, Switches, PLCs, Pneumatics and Hydraulics.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and ERP.

Candidate Requirements :

- Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical Design / Machine Design.
- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience in machinery manufacturing, industrial equipment or engineering industries preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and design skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Creative mindset with a passion for mechanical design and innovation.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
