Purchase and Procurement

- Handle end-to-end procurement of machine tools, CNC machines, VMCs, HMCs, turning centers, grinding machines, and related equipment.
- Procure mechanical components, electrical items, hydraulic and pneumatic components, tooling, fixtures, and machine spares.
- Review purchase requisitions (PRs), technical specifications, drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Prepare and release requests for quotations (RFQs), purchase orders (POs), and purchase amendments.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials as per production schedules and project requirements.

B. Supplier Development and Management

- Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors for machine tools and engineering components.
- Conduct supplier assessments based on quality, cost, delivery, technical capability, and service support.
- Maintain vendor databases, approved vendor lists, and supplier performance records.
- Coordinate with suppliers for technical clarifications, delivery commitments, and warranty claims.
- Develop alternate suppliers to reduce procurement risks and dependency.

C. Cost Negotiation and Cost Control

- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and commercial conditions.
- Analyze quotations and prepare comparative statements (CST).
- Conduct cost analysis, price benchmarking, and total cost of ownership (TCO) evaluations.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering, localization, and alternative sourcing.
- Monitor purchase budgets and ensure compliance with company procurement policies.

D. Technical and Commercial Evaluation

- Coordinate with design, production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams to understand technical requirements.
- Evaluate machine specifications, accuracy, capacity, cycle time, automation requirements, and after-sales support.
- Compare technical and commercial offers from different machine tool suppliers.
- Coordinate machine installation, commissioning, inspection,



and acceptance activities where applicable.
- Verify compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.

E. Delivery and Inventory Management

- Monitor open purchase orders and expedite critical materials.
- Coordinate with stores, production planning, and suppliers to prevent material shortages.
- Track supplier delivery performance and resolve delays.
- Support inventory optimization and reduction of excess or obsolete stock.
- Ensure proper documentation for material receipt, inspection, invoicing, and payment processing.

F. Documentation and Reporting

- Maintain purchase orders, quotations, negotiation records, contracts, and vendor evaluation reports.
- Prepare monthly procurement reports, cost-saving reports, and supplier performance dashboards.
- Work with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other procurement software.
- Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements and purchasing procedures.

3. Required Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Typically 5–10 years of experience in procurement or purchase functions within the machine tool, automotive, engineering, or manufacturing industry.
- Experience in machine tool procurement and technical-commercial negotiations is preferred.

4. Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of CNC machines, VMCs, HMCs, turning centers, grinding machines, and machine tool accessories.
- Good understanding of mechanical drawings, engineering specifications, BOMs, and manufacturing processes.
- Vendor development, negotiation, and cost-reduction skills.
- Knowledge of purchase procedures, inventory management, and supplier quality.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP procurement modules.
- Solid communication, analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
