Remote Domain: Mathematics | Scientific Computing | AI Training Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Mathematics expert to lead a pod of 5–10 trainers developing realistic, terminal-based scientific and technical tasks. You will review tasks for mathematical correctness, reproducibility, and grader reliability, while mentoring trainers to ensure tasks reflect authentic computational workflows across numerical methods, optimization, statistics, and formal verification.

Key Responsibilities
• Review tasks end-to-end (problem statements, datasets, environments, reference solutions, and automated tests).
• Verify mathematical correctness, well-posedness, convergence, stability, and edge-case handling.
• Ensure tasks require genuine multi-step reasoning rather than single library calls or lookups.
• Validate the appropriate use of exact, symbolic, arbitrary-precision, or floating-point computation.
• Design and review graders based on mathematical properties (residuals, feasibility, optimality, error bounds, etc.).




• Ensure reproducibility through pinned tools and dependencies; prevent hard-coded or bypassing solutions.
• Provide actionable feedback, track revisions, and mentor trainers on task design and rigor.
• Allocate work, monitor quality/throughput, escalate blockers, and maintain pod documentation.
• Collaborate with the Mathematics Team Lead to improve benchmark quality. Key Requirements
• Ph.
D., postdoctoral experience, or equivalent advanced experience in mathematics, applied mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• Strong programming skills in Python, Julia, C/C++, MATLAB/Octave, or a computer algebra system.
• Solid Linux and terminal proficiency.
• Hands-on experience with numerical methods, scientific computing, symbolic computation, optimization, computational statistics, or mathematical modeling.
• Ability to rigorously evaluate mathematical derivations, algorithms, proofs, and computational results.
• Experience reviewing research outputs, code, or scientific workflows, and mentoring small technical teams.
• Strong written communication skills for providing precise, constructive feedback. Role Details
