Position description: We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic leader to oversee the operations of the Blast Furnace department at Jindal Ferrous Limited, a key player in the Mining & Metals industry. This role demands a deep understanding of blast furnace technology, metallurgical processes, and operational excellence to ensure efficient, protected, and cost-effective production. The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards while aligning operations with the company’s business objectives and sustainability goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the entire blast furnace operation to achieve optimal production efficiency, quality, and safety standards.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to maximize furnace performance and minimize downtime.
- Oversee maintenance planning and execution to ensure reliability and longevity of blast furnace equipment.
- Coordinate with metallurgical, quality control, and safety teams to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal standards.




- Analyze production data and operational metrics to identify areas for process improvement and cost reduction.
- Manage and mentor a team of engineers, supervisors, and operators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and accountability.
- Ensure strict adherence to environmental, health, and safety policies, promoting a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to optimize raw material usage and inventory management.
- Prepare and present detailed operational reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Drive innovation by evaluating and implementing new technologies and best practices in blast furnace operations.
