- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and structures for AI-powered automation systems and robotic applications.
- Prepare 2D and 3D mechanical drawings using CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo.
- Develop mechanical designs for robotic arms, grippers, conveyor systems, fixtures, jigs, and automated material-handling equipment.
- Collaborate with AI, robotics, electrical, and software engineers to integrate mechanical systems with sensors, actuators, cameras, and control systems.
- Support the development of automated inspection systems, robotic workstations, and machine vision applications.
- Perform mechanical assembly, installation, testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning of automation equipment.
- Select suitable materials, bearings, motors, gearboxes, linear guides, pneumatic cylinders, and other mechanical components.
- Conduct design reviews, prototype testing, and performance evaluations to improve system accuracy, reliability, and efficiency.
- Identify mechanical issues and implement corrective actions to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
- Assist in developing Bills of Materials (BOM), technical documentation, assembly instructions, and maintenance procedures.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for component procurement, fabrication, machining, and assembly.
- Follow engineering standards, workplace safety requirements, and quality procedures.

Technical Skills

- 2D drafting and 3D mechanical modelling.
- AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo.




- GD&T; and engineering drawing interpretation.
- Knowledge of machine design, manufacturing processes, and mechanical assemblies.
- Basic understanding of robotics, industrial automation, and mechatronics.
- Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Familiarity with motors, actuators, sensors, and linear motion systems.
- Basic understanding of PLCs, machine vision, and sensor integration.
- Knowledge of tolerance analysis, material selection, and design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA).

Experience Requirements

- 2 years of experience in mechanical design, machine building, robotics, or industrial automation.
- Experience in developing mechanical assemblies and supporting prototype development.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems and work with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Willingness to learn AI-based automation technologies, robotics, and smart manufacturing systems.
